Southern Maryland, Lexington Park Hotels Get Hi-Def TV

September 26, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Early next year, analog TV will vanish from the US airwaves, to be replaced by digital-only broadcasts. Unwilling to wait until then, Cherry Cove is currently installing dedicated fiber optic digital feeds from MetroCast to its Fairfield Inn and Hampton Inn hotels in Lexington Park, which will feature 82 channels plus 22 high-definition TV channels (including 2 HBO channels). Each hotel room will have an LCD TV capable of full high-definition (1080i dpi), with no video boxes; the remote will talk directly to the set.

Cherry Cove Hospitality is the leader in Southern Maryland’s Home Building, Land Development and Hospitality industries, including Southern Maryland Apartments, Office Space, Storage and Hotel properties. The Souther Maryland area includes St. Mary’s County, Calvert County, and the entire PAX River region.
